Fall Golden Hour Family Session | Marin County

Some sessions you plan. This one just happened.

We met at golden hour on a warm fall evening by the lake, and from the moment we started walking, the kids took over. Chasing each other through the grass, stopping to watch the ducks, freezing when a deer wandered into the trees nearby. The parents just followed their lead — and that's where the real stuff lives.

There were quiet moments too. A dad crouching down to his son's level. A mom pulling her daughter close. The kind of tenderness that happens when a family forgets they're being photographed.

This is what I'm always looking for — not the perfect pose, but the real thing. And this family gave me plenty of it.
